Rosi, Kurt und Koni sind drei von fast einer Million Österreichern, die nur über sehr rudimentäre
Lese- und Schreibkompetenzen verfügen. Sie müssen Wege finden, um sich in der durch Schrift
und Vorschrift geprägten Welt zurechtzufinden. Und sie besuchen Kurse der Basisbildung, um das
zu erlernen, was sie in neun Pflichtschuljahren nicht gelernt haben.
In einer Gesellschaft zu leben, in der es als Selbstverständlichkeit gilt, lesen und schreiben zu
können, sind Hürden vorprogrammiert. Über zwei Jahre hat Hanne Lassl die ProtagonistInnen
durch ihren Alltag begleitet. Der Film erzählt von ihren Wünschen, blickt humorvoll auf ihre
Stärken, lässt uns in manchen Momenten schmunzeln über ihre Schwächen. Aber nie werden
Rosi, Kurt und Koni vorgeführt. Vielmehr begleitet der Film sie in ihrem Kampf um Unabhängigkeit
und Selbstbestimmung.
Rosi, Kurt und Koni ist ein tragisch-komisches Dokument über Menschen, die bodenständig und
stark, ihren Platz in dieser Gesellschaft suchen.
Rosi, Kurt and Koni are three of nearly one Million Austrians, disposing inchoate reading and
writing skills. They have to find ways to navigate through a world dominated by inscription and
prescription. They attend courses, to learn what they have not learned at school.
To live in a society, where reading and writing is implicit, obstacles are inevitable. Over two years
Hanne Lassl accompanied the protagonists throughout their everyday. The film tells of the
protagonists desires, throws a humorous glance at their strengths and on occasions lets us smile
at their weaknesses, without ever exhibiting them. Much rather does the film accompany them
within their struggle for independence and self-determination.
Rosi, Kurt and Koni is a tragically - comic document about people, strong and down to earth,
searching for their place within society.
In Hanne Lassl´s Film werden Ausschnitte aus dem Animationsfilm "Linz Hauptbahnhof" gezeigt,
der in Zusammenarbeit mit Muzak, Karoline Riha und den Protagonisten aus Rosi, Kurt und Koni
entstanden ist.
In Hanne Lassl´s film excerpts of the Animation "Linz Hauptbahnhof", that was realized in
